About Us

The little house in Venice was our father's home. He bought it in the early 60s and had it remodeled by a talented student of the famous Italian architect, Carlo Scarpa. The house was lovely but fell into disrepair when our father became an Alzheimer's victim.Hard work in venezia, vacation holiday rental, rent lease apartments

Now the house belongs to me and my four siblings. My husband and I have been going each summer since 1997 to work on it, and now we are all enjoying the results. The First Floor Apartment was our initial success and we are delighted. It is the most refined of the apartments. Later we polished the rustic Garden Apartment, and now call it the artist's lair, as it is full of my creations stimulated by the need to furnish an apartment that floods each winter. We only rent it in the months when there is little danger of the famous Venetian high waters. The Second Floor Apartment is the current job. In 2009 we removed the wallpaper in the living room and stairs and painted them. In addition, the kitchen was remodeled to better utilize the space and brighten the room. Now, with some new artwork, curtains, and antique light fixtures from my grandfather's home in San Francisco, it is looking positively elegant!

Our friend, Giuseppe, who lives around the corner, manages the place and is often there to meet guests and get them settled. This partnership works out quite nicely and our guests are always delighted with Giuseppe's easy charm. They also seem to be quite happy with the accomodations and the great location. We have numerous repeat visitors.
